eHealth strategy

a vision on meaningful eHealth in blended mental health care

The Dutch health care system has changed a lot over the past years and is still in constant motion. Technical innovations have revealed a new world of possibilities for this domain. Organizations and institutions operating in this dynamic system, try to keep up and search for ways to apply these new techniques to their products in order to optimize their services. Indigo, a Dutch mental health institution, recently renewed their company vision and asked Reframing Studio to explore and illustrate the meaning and role of eHealth within their blended care approach.

In this project we first mapped all current touchpoints clients have with Indigo. We interviewed clients and practitioners, and observed therapy sessions to better understand the experiences and concerns of the different parties involved. After sketching this current context in which Indigo operates, the Reframing method was followed to illustrate the future context (2021) and to determine the desired behaviour and experience of people who operate in it.

Desired user journey
Subsequently, a new journey was created, exposing how eHealth can improve, support and enrich the Indigo-experience of both the clients and practitioners, in the future context of blended care. Based on this new scenario, different concepts were developed that illustrate how eHealth interventions can initiate and support this desired experience. Both the client’s and practitioner’s perspective were carefully considered within these interventions, as well as their relationship throughout the Indigo journey.
