Kas Woudstra

Designer and Researcher

Curiosity, creativity, and inclusivity: these are the core drivers of Kas’ daily work at the Reframing Studio. Kas is trained as academic researcher and recently finished his PhD project. He loves to take on complex design and research issues, likes to relate to people with all sorts of backgrounds, and strives for creating design concepts that work for everyone.

His PhD project he examined how participatory methods can be used in design and research practices of medical technologies. Before that, he studied science and technology studies in Maastricht (an interdisciplinary research field that focusses on how technological and scientific developments are related to social and cultural

phenomena), and political science in Amsterdam.

On the side, he is interested in fine art: in his spare time he works on an interactive art project, a collaboration between the Radboudumc and students from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. And he loves to make is own stuff; painting, sketching, and drawing himself.
